Happy APRIL everyone!  Wow! We are now in the second quarter of the year!  Where does the time go?  Today is the 1st of the month which means it is time for a new monthly challenge at Paper Sweeties!  I hope you will join us and play along!

The inspiration photo this month has so very much to inspire! I love the blue bird near the top of the photo and used that as my inspiration for this sweet card.  The adorable teapot and cups and sentiment are all from the brand new "You Warm My Heart" stamps and sweet cuts sets. And of course I had to add some adorable "Frosting" sequins too!!!!  All of the various Paper Sweeties products I used on this card are linked below.

We are also in the final days of the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I am linking this card up as link 1168!!  So wonderful to see how many people have participated in this wonderful event!  Paper Sweeties is a Super Sponsor once again so if you linked a project or projects up don't forget to check to see if you won one of the many prizes offered up as part of this wonderful HOP!

Some Verve Goodness for the Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

 Hello Friends and Happy FRI-YAY!
I am here with another card (#2) for the SPRING 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

This card uses the fantastic  "Rise and Shine Free Digital Stamp Set" created specifically in honor of this Coffee Lovers Blog Hop by the sweet Julee Tilman of Verve Stamps!  You have to go check out her wonderful stamp company (all of her stamps are on sale 30% off until April 17th) as well as this free digital set!  I fell in love with this adorable cup of tea image and just had to make a card with it IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!   I also used one of the digital sentiments "You've Got This In the bag" to create my card:

To embellish my cup of tea I added a sweet die cut flower from the "Sending Sweet Thoughts" stamps and sweet cuts from Paper Sweeties.  I thought it was the perfect size flower to add to the teabag label!  Isn't it cute?  I colored it in with my Copic markers and popped it up for some dimension!   I also added a steam die cut coming out of the top of the cup.  This came from the sweet cuts set called "Keep Calm and Drink Coffee" from Paper Sweeties.   I also decided to add a little "diamond" stickles to make this card sparkle!

I hope you will join in the all of the fun! There are so many wonderful sponsors, coupon codes, new stamps set, free digital stamps and of course PRIZES!  Don't miss out!  A big thank you to Julee for the wonderful stamps!

Have a great weekend!
Jill

Spring 2017 Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hello Friends!  Are we all ready for the SPRING Coffee Lovers Blog Hop?  It is always such a wonderfully inspiring event!!!!!  A big thank you to Amy Tsurata and her entire team for inspiring all of us throughout the year!  I love all of the wonderful projects they share!

http://coffeelovingcardmakers.com/

Paper Sweeties is once again one of the many wonderful sponsors for this fantastic event:

I hope you will join in the fun by linking up a SPRING THEMED card or project!  There are so many wonderful prizes up for grabs and lots of free digi's too!  Be sure to check out all of the sponsors links at the Coffee Loving Cardmakers website!

And in case you missed it....Paper Sweeties March Release was also dedicated to Coffee and Tea with some lovely new stamps and sweet cuts:

Onto my card....I wanted to make a coffee mug with a spring feeling to it.  So I started by creating a vellum coffee mug embossed with flowers and colored with copics:

I used Paper Sweeties NEW "Keep Calm and Drink Coffee" sweet cuts die to die cut the coffee mug from vellum 4 times.  I embossed one of the vellum mugs with the flowers from the cake slice in the "Party Time" stamp set.  I then colored the backside of the vellum die cut with my Copics to add color to the flowers and leaves then I glued 3 layers of vellum mugs behind the first layer to give the finished mug some depth. Next I added a vellum steam die cut to the mug when I placed it on my white linen card base.  A partial circle window and some polka dot embossing of my turquoise cardstock creates a nice focal point.  And the lovely pink stitched ric rac border is from a Pretty Pink Posh diecut. The sentiment was cobbled together by selectively inking some sentiments from both the "Sending Sweet Thoughts" and "Tackle Life One Cup at a Time" stamp sets from Paper Sweeties.  And the finishing touch is some Licorice Twine.

Thanks for taking a look at my card! Enjoy the Hop!

Paper Sweeties March 2017 New Release Rewind

Welcome back to my blog and to the Paper Sweeties New Release Rewind for March!  Did you have fun shopping for the wonderful new stamps and sweet cuts Debbie released yesterday?  They are all so adorable!

Today is our Release Rewind and I have two cards to share with you...

First I combined the new coffee mug from the "Keep Calm and Drink Coffee" set with the Bunny from our Hoppy Easter basket add-on set.

Easter is coming up soon and I think the bunny looks so cute all colored in brown with pink cheeks!  I added three hearts to the scene from the heart border die. And the Hoppy Easter sentiment which looks so cute on the coffee mug.

Next I had an idea to make a tea party in the Paper Sweeties basket:

I stamped and die cut the basket using my MISTI  to get a really good impression.  Then I added a sweet green gingham liner to the basket  using a scalloped square diecut cut in half at an angle.  I then placed the teapot and teacups from the NEW "You Warm My Heart" stamps and sweet cuts inside.  I added the bow to the top of the basket and a sweet butterfly for a touch of spring!  I layered everything on a white panel that I inked with some distress ink for a pretty background. The sentiment is from the "You Warm My Heart" stamp set too.  A sweet little Tea Party in a basket for a friend!

That is it for me today.  Here are links to all of the wonderful designers sharing posts as part of our Paper Sweeties Release Rewind Hop today:

Thanks for visiting me for this month's Paper Sweeties Release!  I so appreciate your visits and a special thank you to those who take time to leave a comment too!  I read each and every one!  I hope you will share a card or project for our Monthly Challenge that is ongoing at the Paper Sweeties Blog and on our Facebook page called "Paper Sweeties Inspiration".

And I hope you will also join in the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop starting on March 24th!  Paper Sweeties is a sponsor once again with a lovely $25.00 Gift Certificate!
