Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge - December 2016

Happy December! And welcome to a new Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge!

Paper Sweeties Inspiration Challenge - December 2016

I love these colors together!  And such a fun photo to inspire you too!  I hope you decide to play along!

It is always fun to dress the Paper Sweeties Dolls so my first card is a lovely winter scene with Abi dressed in her winter coat.

Next a card inspired by the Christmas tree in the photo:
I used the Trim the Tree sweet cuts to make my gingham trees.  I added a felt heart from the "Sweet Borders" sweet cuts to each of them. The sentiment is from the "Do you see what I see" stamp set.

Reverse Confetti - SFYTT November 2016

Hello Friends and happy weekend!  I had some time to play today and decided to play along with the wonderful "Sketch For You To Try" at Reverse Confetti:

I love this sketch with its angled panel.  For the circle shown in the sketch I substituted my new "Just Brew it" mug die which I ordered because I had an idea for creating some Christmas Coffee tags and cards with it.

I added some "coffee" to my mug by using the "Be a barista" stamp set and stamping and cutting down one of the coffee art images to fit the mug:

I think it turned out so cute!  What do you think?

The Christmas coffee is sitting on top of a Quick Card Panel which I distressed by running my fingernail around the edge.  I did the same distressing on the turquoise gingham panel for the card background and the red embossed angled panel.
The sentiment is from the "Be a Barista" stamp set too and it is stamped on one of the new "Tall Tag Trio" confetti cuts dies.  I love these!!! The snowflakes surrounding the mug on three sides are from the "Jolly Holiday" stamp set.

Thanks for looking at my card!  I had so much fun playing with my RC stamps today!  And I have some Christmas tags started with this mug too!  So fun for holiday gifts!

Happy Crafting!

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Today Paper Sweeties is joining in Tracey McNeeley's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event over on her blog!

This is such a wonderfully inspiring event sure to get your creative juices flowing for some Christmas Crafting!  Thanks so much to Tracey for hosting it each year!  And there are lots of prizes up for grabs too!

I hope you will go to Tracey's blog "In My Creative Opinion" to join in all of the fun!

Here is the tag I created for today's event:

This tag uses several Paper Sweeties sets.  The coffee mug was created using the teacup sweet cut in the "Eat Cake" set.  The gingerbread man is from the "Basket Add-on: Baked with Love" stamp set.  The heart tag is from the "Beautiful Little Wishes" sweet cuts and the sentiment "A Gift for You" is from the "Snow Time" stamp set.  To create my thread hanger for the tag I stapled  a piece of red velvet ribbon with my tiny attacher to create a loop for the thread to be fed through.

And here is the tag added to a package I mailed out for a little crafty swap I participated in with my dear friend Alease.  I added a line of Diamond Stickles around the circle of the tag to add even more sparkle!  I love lots of sparkle on my Christmas tags!!!

There are links to all of the Paper Sweeties Designers posts over on Tracey's blog: In My Creative Opinion.  Thanks for taking a look at my tag!  Enjoy the hop!  And don't forget to leave comments along the way to be eligible for the prizes each day.  Happy Holiday Crafting!!!  :) Jill

Paper Sweeties November 2016 New Release Rewind

It's Release Rewind Day today for Paper Sweeties wonderful November Release!  Did you get to see the new products at the store?  Lots of wonderful holiday cheer to celebrate the season!

Here is a list of all the new prodcuts:

I am in love with the tiny gingerbread man in the new planner set!  And the adorable reindeer in the "Jingle all the Way" stamp set is way too CUTE!!!!  So many sweet new products!
Today I had fun creating a sweet gingerbread house in my card scene using the NEW "Sweet Treats" addition to our Stand set.  It has so many wonderful icons in it for the gingerbread house that are also great for creating backgrounds.  I cannot wait to play with it some more!
I chose to stamp my gingerbread house directly on my background panel off to one side.  I then added snowflakes using the open round snowflake stamp in the new Sweet Treats set.  I also added a cute snowflake from the "Thanks Snow Much" stamp set and some Copic marker dots with my BG10 marker.   This created a lovely snowy background for my scene.
I then added a sweet reindeer couple by once again mirror stamping the reindeer image to have a reindeer facing each direction.  My sentiment is from the "Sweet Cuts Joy" set.  I die cut the word "JOY" four times and glued them all together to give my sentiment lots of dimension.
Touches of my favorite Stickles "Diamond" finish off the sentiment and add snow and sparkle to the gingerbread house, candies, and the reindeer hooves.  The little heart was die cut using the "Beautiful Little Wishes" sweet cuts.

I want to thank you for looking at my cards throughout the release!  I always enjoy reading your sweet comments and hearing what you think about the new products in the Paper Sweeties store.

Paper Sweeties November 2016 New Release Party

Happy Release Day!  Today all of the new products we were sneaking peeks at yesterday are available at Paper Sweeties! Here is a list of What's New:

And here is what I have to share with you today:

I created a card using the sweet reindeer image from the NEW "Jingle All the Way" stamp set.  I used a mirror imaging stamping technique to create a girl reindeer facing our handsome boy reindeer.  Aren't they a cute couple?

I used the "With Love" sweet cuts to create the heart focal point.  I glued multiple die cuts together to create dimension.  The sentiment "You Melt My Heart" is from the "Thanks Snow Much" stamp set and is a favorite of mine!

Behind the reindeer I used a turquoise snowflake patterned paper and a piece of vellum to soften the pink of the card front slightly.  A piece of fabric was used to tie the bow that is glued to the heart sentiment tag with hot glue.  And two additional tiny hearts were stamped and colored and glittered as finishing details.

Well that is it for me today but there is so many more wonderful things to see on each of our lovely Design Team Members Blogs....here is the link list:

Thanks for joining me here at Greenwood Girl Cards today!  I so appreciate your visits and sweet comments on my projects!  I hope that you will come back tomorrow for our Release Rewind!  And don't forget to play along in our monthly challenge at the Paper Sweeties Blog!
Here is this month's inspiration:

Paper Sweeties November 2016 New Release Sneak Peeks

Hello and welcome to New Release Sneak Peeks for Paper Sweeties November 2016 Release!  This month Debbie is releasing the following new stamps and sweet cuts dies:

I am starting off with a card using the "Jingle All theWay" stamp set.  As soon as I saw the sweet little reindeer in this stamp set I fell in love! This image is just so cute and adorable!  The stamp is of the reindeer standing but I had an idea of creating a card with the reindeer in flight so....I cut my stamp!  Yep...I cut the stamp in a straight line between the reindeer's feet so that I could spread the feet on my stamp block and make the reindeer FLY!
This sweet card is the result!  A black Copic multi-liner enabled me to add the lines for the reigns and extend the line of the reindeer's stomach area which was split by my cut to allow the legs to widen enough for flight. Having a Copic Multi-liner on hand is wonderful for altering stamp images and for touch ups when a stamp impression isn't quite perfect in a certain area. When you are done stamping the reindeer in flight and you remove the stamp from your stamp block the clear stamp resumes its original shape allowing you to stamp it as it was designed and intended.

Once I had all of my reindeer stamped I completed my touch ups with my black multi-liner and then colored the images with Copic markers adding some dots to create some interest.  A simple card to start us off on sneak peeks!
Now I get to send you on your way.....
Here are links to the whole design team:

I hope you will join us again tomorrow for Release Day!!!!!  I have so much more to share with you then!
:)  Jill
