Paper Sweeties February 2016 Inspiration Challenge

It is February 1st and that means it is time for a new challenge at Paper Sweeties:

A sweet color palette along with an adorable winter scene!  I just love the baby snowman that the adorable little girl has created!  So fun!  I was inspired by the colors and the scene and came up with this card:

I used the wonderful "Abigail" doll and dressed her up for the weather in a sweet coat, hat, and boots from the "Let it Snow" stamp set.   The sentiment is from the "You are the most wonderful" stamp set.

I added glossy accents to her coat and boots and hat!  Gotta love that shine!  A few snowflakes and robin egg sequins from the Paper Sweeties shop finish off the card.

Here are the links to everyone else sharing inspiration for Challenge #40:

Paper Sweeties January 2016 Release Rewind

It's time for the Paper Sweeties January 2016 Release Rewind!  I have two similar cards to share with you today using the "With Love" sweet cuts and the Paper Sweeties girl named "Sophie".   I also used the "Stitched Tags #1" Sweet Cuts heart tag die.

On this card Sophie is all dressed in pink!  Her darling outfit is from the "Sweetie Pie" stamp set.  The "I Love You" sentiment stamped on the heart tag from the Stitched Tags #1 die set is from the "I Love You" stamp set.

To embellish this card I created what I like to call "flower buttons".   I hot glued a sequin to a vintage cream button and then added a tiny pearl to the center of the sequin.  I love how sweet these are and will be using them often in future projects!

My next Valentine has lots of hot pink and red with a wee bit of black added in.  It uses the same stamps and dies as the previous card and is embellished with some pretty sequins and twine from the Paper Sweeties shop.
Thanks for taking a look at my release rewind cards.  Here are the links to the rest of the Design Team so you can enjoy more inspiration:

I am going to link this post up to my friend Lori Hairston's Challenge #3 Valentine's / Hearts!

Paper Sweeties January 2016 Release Party

Happy Release Day!  Today is the day that all of the new stamps and sweet cuts are available for purchase at Paper Sweeties!

Here are links to the brand new sets:

I have two cards and a banner to share with you today.  My first card uses the "With Love" dies for a very traditional Valentine's Day card in red and white:

The small heart in red micro-gingham is from the "Stitched Tags #1" die set.  It coordinates so perfectly with the new "With Love" stamps  and sweet cuts.  The "Have a SWEET Day" sentiment is from the "Sweetie Pie" stamp set.  I cut the front edge of the card base off and hung this beautiful heart die cut over the edge of the card flap.  To open the card you just lift the heart up.
NOTE:  This sweet Valentine is smaller than a normal A2 card and measures 3 3/4" x 5 1/4".  It is sized to fit into a glasine bag with some Valentine's candy!  Yum!

Okay now it is BANNER TIME!  I die cut a bunch of these pretty new "With Love" heart dies and played around with them to come up with a Valentine's Day banner to hang in my kitchen...

I started with some pretty Strawberry Seam Binding and strung the smaller heart die cuts in a row.  The center die cut is made of wool felt the rest are paper.  I learned that you can use your hole punch through wool felt and it works GREAT!

I then glued the gorgeous filigree heart die-cuts from the "With Love" sweet cuts behind the solid hearts in three places across the length of my banner.  Next, I added some heart tags from the "Stitched Tags #1" die set  on the two end hearts and the center heart.
Some crocheted flowers and hearts as well as a rose brad and some velvet leaves add the finishing touches.
And here it is hanging in my kitchen window above my sink:

Looking at this sweet banner will brighten the rainiest of Seattle days! And boy has it been rainy here!

I have one last project to share.  I created a sweet card to use up some of the scraps and supplies I had leftover from creating the banner.  I love the very old-fashioned or "home-spun" feel to it:

I had this pretty piece of patterned paper with a heart die cut window in it leftover from creating the banner.  I added the left-over rose felt filigree heart die cut to the opening and placed it over a cream card stock panel die cut with a scalloped edge.
(I just noticed that my patterned paper panel is not centered correctly!  Ugh!  I will have to see if I can fix it!  Does anyone else catch mistakes after they take their photos?  A picture always has a story to tell!  )

Ok!!!!  Much better!  Next I stamped the sentiment "So happy you're my friend" onto the cream background.  This sentiment is from the "I Love You" stamp set which has lots of wonderful sentiments perfect for Valentine's Day or any day!
I embellished the heart with a velvet flower from my craft stash and some pieces of lace and crochet trim.  You can also see what looks like some pink leaves - this is actually the bow from the "Stitched Tags #2" die set.  I die cut it from pink felt and then snipped the tails off of the bow.  I folded the remaining part in half and added a dot of hot glue to hold it together.  This created some tiny leaves or bow loops to "garnish" my flower. The bottom of the card received some pom-pom trim as a border.

That is it for me today.  I hope you are enjoying today's Release Party Blog Hop.  Here are the links to Debbie's post at Paper Sweeties Blog as well as all of the Design Team in case you get lost along the way...

Paper Sweeties January 2016 Release Countdown

Hello and welcome back to the Paper Sweeties January Release Countdown!  Did you enjoy all of the sneak peek projects yesterday?  So many wonderful ideas using these gorgeous and fun new releases!

Today I have a project using the new "Sweet Treats' stamps and sweet cuts.  I just love the sweet gumball machine that can be created by combining these new stamps and sweet cuts with the existing "Snow Time" stamps and sweet cuts.  Here is my card:

I decided to create a very girly gumball machine using some sweet mint green and pink papers with roses on them.  And I had to make it a shaker too using some of the sweet Paper Sweeties sequins for gumballs!

The sentiment "So sweet of you" is from the "Sweet Treats" stamp set and will be perfect to thank a friend that sent me some lovely treats for my birthday this week.

There is plenty more inspiration to be found on each of the Paper Sweeties Design Team members blogs:

I hope you will join us again tomorrow for Release Day!  All of the new products will be available for purchase on January 15th at Paper Sweeties!

Thanks,
Jill

Paper Sweeties January 2016 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hello and Welcome to the January Release Sneak Peeks for PAPER SWEETIES!  We have lots of wonderful new products coming out this month!  I hope you will join us over the next few days as we showcase some wonderful Valentine's and Every Day Inspiration!  Let's get started:

The New Sets this month are as follows:

With Love
With Love Sweet Cuts

The "With Love" stamps and sweet cuts dies include a wonderfully detailed heart stamp with a coordinating two piece die perfect for Valentine's Day and all occasions!  The stitched heart tag from the "Stitched Tags #1" stamps and dies coordinates beautifully with this set also.

Sweet Treats
Sweet Treats Sweet Cuts

The "Sweet Treats' stamps and dies coordinate with the previously released "Snow Time" stamps and dies and allow you create the sweetest gumball machines!

I decided to create with the "With Love" die set for my "Sneak Peek" project today.  I used a larger heart layering die from my stash to create a cream felt pillow with pom-pom trim.  I pinned the pom-pom trim between the two layers of wool felt and then hand-sewed around the sides of them. I added some filling before sewing the opening closed.  Next  I die-cut the new "With Love" intricate heart die from both beige felt and cream denim. These beautiful die-cuts became the base for my focal point on the pillow.  The house and sentiment stamped on the cream denim heart sweet-cut are from the previously released "Home Sweet Home" stamp set.  A sweet velvet flower from my stash along with a small set of silk angel wings and some trinket pins add the finishing touches.  I love how this darling hanging heart pillow turned out.  It has found a perfect place to hang on the doorknob to my china cabinet in my living room:

The back of the pillow is also decorated using a sentiment from the "Home Sweet Home" stamp set that reads:  "Home is where your heart lives".  I crocheted a pink rose and added some crocheted trim and a tiny open-heart enamel charm to finish it off. The back side of the pillow is so sweet that you could really use either side of this hanging heart for display.

Well that is it for me today.....but there is tons of wonderful inspiration from the entire Paper Sweeties Design Team:

I hope you will come back and visit over the next few days as we continue to showcase the new January Release products for Paper Sweeties! They will be available in the store on January 15, 2016!
Thanks for your visit!
